Adding Anchor Tags in Framer

In this video, we’ll talk you through the process of adding anchor tags to your Framer site.

Why are anchor tags important?

Anchor tags are necessary for website navigation. When you use an anchor tag, you enable navigation directly to certain parts of your page. This is key when focusing your users’ attention to a specific section like a CTA, contact form or video.

Quick steps

1. Select the section of your page you want to link to
2. Navigate to Scroll Section in the right-hand side panel
3. Add a clear section name
4. Select the element (usually a button) containing your link
5. Navigate to the Link section in the right-hand side panel
6. Adjust the ‘Link To’ property to the page you want to direct to
7. Select the exact page section you want to direct to
8. Adjust additional settings like New Tab and Scroll

Note: Scroll settings are only applicable if you’re choosing not to open the link in a new tab
